General Conditions for the registration of Intellectual Property


ATTENTION!: For the protection of your registration File-Reg software makes a ‘read only’ copy of the registered file and places this in a special folder in your own computer. You may continue to work on the original but any change to these files will make your registration invalid. Do not remove these files from the folder since they are also used to verify your registration should you need to. For extra protection you can of course make back-ups of these files.


File-Reg offers an online registration service for the registration of Intellectual Property through the Internet. File-Reg does NOT provide patent, copyright or a trademark related to the registration of intellectual property but does offer the necessary links for clients who wish to do so. File-Reg cannot guarantee that the owners of registered files are the legal owners of files registered in their name, and cannot be held responsible for misuse of the registration system.

It is not possible for any employee or third party to see, recreate or recompile a file registered at File-Reg. The client is solely responsible for the protection of registered files in registrant’s computer.

File-Reg cannot give any guarantee for any faults or misprints on the File-Reg web site. File-reg cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss to registered documents/files and/or digital fingerprints and timestamps. However File-Reg takes various measures to prevent any loss such as the use of extra servers and regular backup of the data.

While File-Reg employees and companions have made every effort to insure the registration software performs to all expectations, File-Reg or their companions cannot be held responsible for any damage to computers/servers/electronic appliance by software downloaded from the File-Reg site. File-Reg also cannot be held responsible for any computer virus or similar disruptive software downloaded which may infect a system. The user is obligated to take necessary steps such as installing anti-virus software to prevent any such occurrence.

Conditions of MegaReg and MiniReg subscriptions

The conditions of the MiniReg and MegaReg subscriptions are as follows:
With the MiniReg Subscription the client has the right to make 100 registrations per year. The client will receive a coupon code for 100 registrations credits after payment is received. After filling in this coupon code via the clients personal login page 100 registration credits will be added to the account. These registrations will remain valid as long as the client remains a member of the registration service. Registration credits are valid for one year during the time of the subscription. Unused registration credits cannot be transferred to a second or new subscription. With a new MiniReg account the client will receive once again 100 registration credits.

With a MegaReg subscription a client can make an unlimited amount of registrations. The client will receive after payment a coupon code for 500 registration credits. Upon entering the coupon code via the clients personal login page 500 registration credits will be added to the account, and replenished if the account drops below 50 registration credits. This way the client can have an unlimited amount of credits. After termination of the account by the client the amount of registration credits will revert to zero (0). All registrations made will remain valid as long as the client remains a member of the registration service.

The MiniReg and MegaReg subscription are to be paid yearly.

Registrations can be made either by using the File-Reg software, or via the direct upload and register system. In using the software no content of the registered file is uploaded to the server. After registration the client will receive an email confirming the registration.
In using the upload and register your work is uploaded to the File-Reg servers and registered from within the servers. You will receive confirmation of the registration by email within 10 minutes.

File-Reg International retains the right to change or update these conditions at any time.
